CMEA

Colorado Music Education Association
Clinic/Conference
Broadmoor - Colorado Springs

Each year music educators from around the State of Colorado gather at the Broadmoor to collaborate, learn in clinics from nationally-recognized musicians, and hear some of the best ensembles in the state.  Schools and ensembles audition to perform for this clinic - only a handful are chosen each year.

This year, a special ensemble made up of voices from Traut Elementary, Zach Elementary, and Kinard Middle Schools were invited to do a full presentation with a special concert on January 28, 2026.  Our 'Core Knowledge in Concert' singers will join together in song!

“The Zach Elementary School Choir is a non-audition ensemble of about 150 members. The choir rehearses in two groups, Green Choir (2nd & 3rd Grade Singers) and Gold Choir (4th & 5th Grade Singers). Each group rehearses one time per week, with occasional large ensemble rehearsals. The choir sings music in a variety of languages, styles and genres. The Zach Elementary School Choir enjoys singing for the community in concert and regularly at the Colorado Eagle’s Hockey Games!”
