British composer Alexander L'Estrage is coming to Colorado to work with Kinard, PHS, FRHS, and Zach singers on his newest work, Freedom! The Power of Song.
Mr. L'Estrange is a world-renowned composer, recently making his debut performance at Carnegie Hall in May, 2019.
Singers and instrumentalists from across Poudre School District will gather at the First United Methodist Church on Wednesday, March 11th to hear the United States premier performance of Freedom! Admission is free, but seating is limited. For participating schools, families, and singers the itinerary is:
Tuesday, March 10th - Group Rehearsal @ Kinard Middle School
7:20 - 8:00 am = Zach's Choir rehearses with Alexander
8:15 - 9:00 am = Group rehearsal with Zach, Kinard, & FRHS
9:00 - 10:30 am = Group rehearsal with Zach, Kinard, & PHS
Wednesday, March 11th - Final Rehearsal & Dress Rehearsal
8:15 - 9:30 am = Kinard Choir rehearses with Alexander @ Kinard
10:00 am - 12:00 pm = Load in and set up @ First United Methodist Church
4:00 - 4:30 = Dress rehearsal with Zach & Kinard Choirs @ FUMC
4:30 - 5:30 = Dress rehearsal with Full Choir @ FUMC
6:30 = Concert at First United Methodist Church
