New York/ Carnegie Hall 1/13/22 Meeting Notes


Here are the meeting notes from the January 13th meeting if you were unable to attend.

Overview of trip:


March 30 - Wednesday

  • 4:00AM meet at airport (there is no school supplied transportation to DIA)

  • 6:00AM depart DIA

  • 11:37 AM arrive at Newark Airport

  • Lunch in NYC (1:30 - 2:00)

  • Check in to hotel after lunch

  • Dinner in Times Square - sight see and shop

March 31 - Thursday

  • grab and go breakfast at hotel

  • dress for practice (black with robe)

  • Festival at Queen's College

  • box lunch during your break

  • Broadway 101 class with Broadway actor

  • Dinner - Thai Fusion

  • Broadway show "Come From Away" (based on 9/11) 80 or 90 minutes

April 1 - Friday

  • Breakfast at hotel

  • rehearsal with other groups

  • lunch on your own

  • more rehearsal

  • light dinner

  • Performance in Carnegie Hall 8:00PM

April 2 - Saturday

  • Breakfast at hotel

  • tour Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island

  • free time for lunch

  • visit 9/11 memorial

  • World Trade Center tour 3:00PM

  • dinner in China Town

April 3 - Sunday

  • pack up, we will be storing luggage on bus

  • Breakfast at hotel

  • visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art @ 11:00

  • lunch on your own

  • free time in Central Park

  • early dinner

  • go to airport

  • arrive at DIA 11:00PM (no school transportation to Fort Collins)





Carnegie Hall Information:

  • concert goers will need to have Covid booster

  • we are not sure if students will need booster

  • students may be required to take a Covid test before they are allowed on stage, we will let you know, if you have concerns with this please contact Mr. Wheeler

General Information:

  • Hotel is 2 blocks to Central Park

  • CMAS testing not until the week of April 11th

  • tickets to Carnegie Hall concert are on sale now

  • If your student has an ID have them bring it (school ID's work)

  • most lunches are not included, students will need $ for that and shopping (about $40 per day)

  • students carry their own $

  • the app Clear is great to use for your Covid info
